SECOND ROUND OF STIMULUS CHECKS

IR-2020-280, December 29, 2020

WASHINGTON – Today, the Internal Revenue Service and the Treasury Department will begin delivering a second round of Economic Impact Payments as part of the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021 to millions of Americans who received the first round of payments earlier this year.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? In spite of the news indicating checks could be $2000, the government has begun sending out the approved $600 right away. If eligible for relief, you should receive your check by Direct Deposit. If you qualify for this round of relief & do not receive a DD from the Treasury Dept, you will get a check. DD should be out by January 4th, according to the IRS.
